Through the fatigues dress of branches, a pile of sooty clouds, continuously thickened, poured in full scooped on the forest. Swollen with hostility, the naked exhaled polluted suffocating heat, conspiring with the aim of an explosion. We heard a long amplified grating, then heart-rending shouts ; all the forest began then squalling, hawking firebrands of revolt which hatched. Trees split the stagnant air, raised in a united balance the twisted arms, breathed their wild hatred into the earth submitted to the whippings and to the knocks repeated by the blind fists. Wholeheartedly, the boughs banged, tightened the embrace as a knotted scarf. A flash of lightning burst the sky and in the middle of the fervent clamors brought down halberds, overturning on the ground, riddling and making an incision. The pickaxe of the sky returned the ground and bled it widely, opening abyssal wounds bathed by a black pus.
When Akli found the villagers, the rain had stopped and a strange silence reigned. The men who formed a circle moved away in his approach to let appear the body of sluggish Babouh, being lying in the mud, its ax by his side.
— It's his fault, shouted out Mohand. He frightened my cow which charged him.
Akli stared at him.
— Is not it, my friends ? still says Mohand, hypocritical.
— Yes, Si Mohand, took back together the others.
